Krossroads Playhouse plans to build an inclusive, intimate, and affordable performing arts venue in the heart of the Triad. Our theatre space will include:

Side hallways for access from backstage to the back of the audience

Catwalk lighting and sound booth

Working with Triad Land Surveying, the preliminary site plans for Krossroads Playhouse at 215 North Cherry Street in Kernersville include:
20' wide commercial driveway
Gravel parking lot with 28 spaces
2 handicap parking spaces at the front
5' wide concrete sidewalk to parking area
Asphalt drive to the loading dock
Elevated wooden escape walkway for emergency exit
50' x 50' metal building for set storage and construction
Proper setbacks for buffer zones on the back and side
Attractive landscaping to make the entire site appealing

Honoring Our Past
Krossroads Playhouse wishes to honor the theatrical legacy of Kernersville by building a space that will be a clear tribute to Korner's Folly - the original community theatre. This will not only tie "uptown" to "downtown," but past to present.
